I’m excited to post the first pics of our remodeling project! This bathroom belongs to my daughters, Amanda and Brittany. Here’s a Before shot, which I forgot to take until after the wallpaper had already been stripped off. (Yes, Brittany will kill me if I don’t mention she spent 6 hours scraping it off the walls herself.)
After I patched the walls, I put on a base coat of green. Don’t worry, it won’t look like ‘Attack of the Leprechaun’ when I’m finished. ![]()

I had fun with the next step sponging the wall. I used a sponge roller to put on the purple, then used a small craft sponge to add the yellow and blue-green highlights over that. Then we finished it off with fairy border, a new mirror, metal switchplates, soap dish and dispenser, and one nifty garbage can–look closely and you’ll see little pink glass heart-shaped beads hanging from it, all nice and girly. I took the picture before we added the towel hanger sort of over and between the switchplate and the mirror. Here’s a couple pictures of the finished project:

We could use something on that big empty wall, and we’re going to put in a new toilet after the new tile is installed, but other than that, we’re done in there.
